SeaSCAN specializes in providing self contained, portable, marine seismic source arrays for utilization in multiple applications from ocean depth to Transition Zone (TZ) surveys where SeaSCAN client's depend on reliability and high success rates.

Equipment and technique have evolved from years of experience in the harshest environments that the oil and gas industry faces daily. SeaSCAN is known for its partnership with its clients resulting in a high performance record, redundancy and focus on providing zero downtime for clients. By taking responsibility of the marine seismic source to optimize uptime.

  HISTORY AND COMPANY
 

SeaSCAN was founded in 1984 by Harold P. Barber, Sr., who remains the president today.

SeaSCAN worked closely with Shell Development Company in Houston to develop the Tri-Cluster® portable point seismic energy source. In 1988, the Tri-Cluster® point source worldwide license was exclusively awarded to SeaSCAN. SeaSCAN has sublicensed the Tri-Cluster® to Veritas DGC, Western Geco, Grant Geophysical, Input/Output, Paulsson Geophysical, Terra Seismic Services, Fugro, Williamson & associates, Halliburton, Baker, Atlas, and Shell.

 

The Tri-ClusterŪ patented point seismic sound source array, with various power outputs, along with multiple Shallow Water (SW) and Ultra Shallow Water (USW) arrays are utilized in marine seismic applications from ocean depth to transition zone (TZ), Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC), 2D, 3D, 4D, Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP), Nodal, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and engineering surveys both domestically and internationally.

HISTORY AND COMPANY
 

The Tri-Cluster® patented point seismic sound source array, with various power outputs, has been used on Transition Zone (TZ), Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC), 2D, 3D, 4D, Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP) and engineering surveys both domestically and internationally. International Tri-Cluster operations have been performed all over the world.

 

Projects include Energy Research Clearing House (ERCH) and Texaco for the Teal South 4-C/4-D project, multiple projects as well as Far-Field data acquisition and report by Dr. W. Rodney Cotton, Western Atlas, and Dr. Les Hatton, Oakwood Computing, UK.
